Design selection
-
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a spot on the schedule. Selection is based upon a creative match and availability. Only a limited number of projects can be taken per month.
Estimates Estimates provided will be honored for 3 weeks from the date of creation. After this time, a new estimate will be provided upon request. Code&Blog reserves the right to change rates at any time, including hourly fees.
Deposit & booking For projects quoted over $300, an initial non-refundable 25% deposit is required to hold the client’s place on the schedule. The remaining fee will be due at the end of the project. Work will not begin until first payment has cleared (can take 3-5 days depending on payment method). For projects quoted under $300, or over $300 with special discounts, payments must be made in full upfront.
Once the Estimate document is accepted and the deposit has been made, the client will be added to the schedule and will be notified of a start date, which is only an estimate. This date may change due to other projects, unforeseen circumstances, and/or delayed communication with the client.
Refunds Due to the nature of digital goods, the web design process, and time involved, refunds are not given for any reason.
Communication All communication is done via email. No business will be conducted by phone / Whatsapp / Messenger. The design process relies upon consistent communication. The client homework should be completed before the specified start date or the project may need to be rescheduled.
Design Process
-
Backups and files
The client is responsible for backing up all content and design files before project starts.
Authorization & Privacy The client agrees to provide Code&Blog access to any account for the sole purpose of installing and updating the website as needed. Their information will never be shared with a third party and will not be stored past the date of installation.
Development & completion Code&Blog works hard to complete all projects in a timely manner and will communicate with the client during the entire process of the project. Most projects are completed within 2 to 5 weeks of the start date, but each project is different so it may vary in time. Estimated time of completion is dependent on promptness of communication via email and complexity of the project.
Project Abandonment If a client fails to respond to communication or provide necessary materials for more than 30 consecutive days, the project will be considered abandoned. Code&Blog reserves the right to archive the project. To resume an abandoned project, a rescheduling fee may apply, and the project will be subject to current pricing.
Content Insertion Adding and / or creating content to posts and pages is responsibility of the client and is not included in any service provided by Code&Blog. All content should be finalised and added to your site before project starts.
Revisions Code&Blog will provide up to two revisions for each project unless otherwise specified. Additional revisions are subject to a fee of $85 per hour. Any changes to the design after project ends will also be subject to a fee regardless of the number of revisions used during the process. Please make sure any changes you want made are done before final approval and payment.
Support Design support does not include content editing, continued maintenance or redesigns. After the design has been installed, Code&Blog provides a 14-day testing period for you to test out the design and work with your blog. Should any bugs or coding errors arise during these 14 days, we will fix them for free. This period is strictly intended for finding errors, not for changing the look, layout, or adding new features.
Any aesthetic changes at this time will be charged for at $85 per hour. Any issues and redesign requested after this testing time will be billed separately, as will any issues caused by the User or another person tweaking the template/code.
Platform & Third-Party Limitations Code&Blog builds templates specifically for the Blogger/Blogspot platform as it currently operates. While Code&Blog cannot be held liable for future changes, updates, or deprecations made by Google/Blogger that may affect a template's functionality, Code&Blog prides itself on providing ongoing lifetime support. Every effort will be made to adjust and update the template to function within any new technical limits established by the platform.
Additionally, Code&Blog is not responsible for troubleshooting, styling, or fixing errors caused by third-party widgets or affiliate networks (e.g., RewardStyle, Mailchimp, Flodesk, AdSense, Mediavine) integrated into the site.
